NIMS University Partners AUAP for 7th Students English Speech Competition in Bangkok

NIMS University Rajasthan had announced its collaboration for the 7th AUAP Students English Speech Competition (SESC) scheduled on May 25-28, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand in cooperation with the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), the Master’s Institute Development Academic and Seminary (MIDAS), and Siam University, Bangkok of Thailand.

The AUAP Secretariat is organizing this activity to provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talents in preparing and delivering a speech on a given topic. Furthermore, SESC builds the development of well-rounded individuals who are confident, articulate, and capable of critical thinking. It offers a platform for students to hone their public speaking skills, engage with diverse ideas, and prepare for future challenges in both academic and professional settings.

This year’s competition features four topics: Environmental sustainability and individual responsibility, Overcoming obstacles and achieving personal growth, The impact of technology on human relationships, and The importance of empathy in today’s society. The competition aims to build confidence for effective public speaking and communication skills, critical thinking, boost self-esteem and confidence, develop research and organizational skills, improve listening and comprehension, encourage creativity and originality, cultivate ethical and respectful discourse, prepare students for future academic and professional success, promote cultural and social awareness, enhance skill development and knowledge, and broaden viewpoints and expertise.

The Secretariat has extended an invitation to nominate more than one team for the 7th AUAP SESC. Each team must consist of three students: two contestants and one coach. A total of thirty teams are welcome to participate in this event on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration fees per person are as follows:

  • Members: USD 550 (Early Bird until June 30, 2024), USD 650 (July 1, 2024 – April 30, 2025)
  • Non-Members: USD 650 (Early Bird until June 30, 2024), USD 750 (July 1, 2024 – April 30, 2025)

Fees will include hotel, meals, pick-up and send-off to airport services, awards, certificates, tours, and gifts. Prizes for winners include cash awards, medals, and certificates, with the top winner receiving USD 1,200. The deadline for registration is April 30, 2025.
