The 3rd AUAP Youth Development Program Promotes Intercultural Communication and Leadership in Partnership with NIMS University

The Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), in cooperation with the Master’s Institute Development Academic and Seminary (MIDAS), NIMS University Rajasthan – Jaipur, and Central Book of the Philippines, will host the 3rd AUAP Youth Development Program (YDP). The event will be held in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand, from 24th -29th November 2024. This annual program targets students who are eager to advance their personal growth in an inclusive environment and observe the impact of student development on global issues.

Participants in the YDP will learn the principles of promoting healthy development through youth mentoring, cultivating a positive mindset, building strength, and boosting self-confidence. Lectures and discussions will be conducted in English, covering vital topics such as cultural diversity, intercultural communication, and key problems in global communities. Students will also gain insights into astronomy and prepare themselves to face real-world working environments.

The program features a variety of outdoor activities intended to engage student leaders in development projects while providing the opportunity to experience the unique aspects of Thai culture. Activities will include an introduction to Thai boxing and dancing, bed making, a cooking contest, volunteering, group presentations, and field trips. Additionally, students will explore nature preservation, participate in study tours at Thai Catering (airline food production process), and visit Thai Airway Airlines and Suvarnabhumi Airport.

With the registration deadline fast approaching and only 40 seats available, we encourage the nomination of active, sincere, and responsible students and faculty members for this enriching program. Since seats are limited, acceptance will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fees, which include hotel accommodation, meals, airport pickup and drop-off, a T-shirt, and entrance fees, are as follows: AUAP members USD 900 (early bird until December 31, 2023), and USD 990 after that date; non-members USD 990 (early bird until December 31, 2023), and USD 1,000 after that date. Please note that there is an extra charge of USD 60 per room per night for single-room stays.

We look forward to welcoming your students and representatives to Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand, on November 24, 2024.
